Earlier our Community persons hailing from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod Districts by and large were going to Mumbai in search of employment. In view of the above said changes and improvements brought about, educated young people started settling at Bangalore. It was an initiative of such persons and elders of the Community who had settled even earlier thereto joined together and formed “Billava Association, Bangalore” in 1976.
In the past 35 years, despite the various ups and downs our Members and our Past Office Bearers have been successful in launching various programs not only useful to our community but also to the Society at large.
Billava Association, Bangalore (R).
It had been a persistence and patient effort by our elders to obtain a site for the association which finally paid dividends in the Year 2002-2003.
